Fire Rated Tiles

If you are looking for a 30 or 60 minute fire rated ceiling tile then you are in the right place. Our range of industry leading tiles comply with fire rating regulations up to 60 minutes.

What is required?
to create a fire rated suspended ceiling you must ensure that the tile and grid you use is tested together. For example using a Thermatex range tile by AMF would mean that the AMF Ventatec grid would be needed to create the fire rating. Not all tiles and grids are fire rated so please check the tile specification or give us a call to find out more. Also the type of existing ceiling that you have can adjust the type of tile that is needed, such as the AMF Thermatex range which under concrete and steel will allow for the standard 15mm thick tiles, but under timber or mezzanines you would need the thicker 19mm tile.

What about lighting?

When installing lights in to your fire rated ceiling, you need to ensure that the are covered above using a fire hood or similar product to continue the fire protection. Without this you will effectively have spaces in your ceiling in which flames could easily rise through meaning your ceiling is not fire rated.
