If a regular ceiling is damaged in one small area the entire ceiling will need redecorating - once you’ve paid for the damaged area to be re-plastered, that is. Solid ceiling repairs are messy, time-consuming and, above all, costly.
One of the many benefits of suspended ceilings is that, if some ceiling tiles are damaged, you only need replace those damaged parts, rather than the entire ceiling.
