Suspended ceilings form part of Sheffield Grade A space
Suspended ceilings form part of Sheffield “Grade A space”.
Think suspended ceilings have to be practical at the expense of design? A team of developers in Sheffield are aiming to make you think again.
Steel City House is a Sheffield landmark occupying a prime spot in the city’s business district. Now, thanks to a £5 million transformation, the building will offer premium office space in the heart of the city.
As reported in BDaily, 3 commercial property development firms will be responsible for creating the Grade A space, and suspended ceilings will feature prominently as the developers seek to raise the energy efficiency, as well as the contemporary feel, of the historically significant building.
John Scotting, managing director of Scott’s Developments, one of the developer partners, said: “The Grade A space we’re creating will comprise raised access floors and suspended ceilings with high performance recessed LED lighting.”
The development is already seeking tenants.
